I have just completed ordering everything I will need to get the 20 gallon high tank running and going soon. I washed the tank outside and then scrubbed it with a cloth. I didn't use any products because I was afraid that it would affect the water. I have my RO/DI water running now. Tomorrow I need to get another small trash can and mix up the salt mix.
I have decided that I will use live rock to start the tank. I am going to add it about a week after the tank is running. I can't decide on sand or not.
